And already, the two countries see in the air transport sector an essential lever to achieve their common objectives. Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta hammered it again on August 11, during the virtual meeting with South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Naledi Pandor. \n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \n\u201cOur two countries occupy strategic positions in their respective regions; therefore, our cooperation is not only useful to our countries, but also to our respective regions. I think that our cooperation is also essential for the whole continent \u201d, declared the Kenyan president, who notably proposed a commercial partnership between Kenya Airways and South African Airways (being restarted). But before, to see this common ambition materialize, the two personalities announced the raising of the status of the Kenya-South Africa Joint Cooperation Commission (JCC) from the rank of a ministerial instrument to that of a binational commission of heads of state. &#8220;. \n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nAn upgrade that should make it possible &#8220;to explore areas of cooperation in order to strengthen economic ties and activate the commitments of the two countries in order to extend cooperation within the various sectors&#8221;.
