It will specialize in the assembly, sale and maintenance of &#8220;new energy electric vehicles&#8221; such as bicycles, scooters and tricycles.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nThrough this initiative, TAILG contributes to \u201cthe reduction of global emissions and the promotion of the green economy\u201d. In Rwanda, the company wants to contribute to the transition \u201cto a sustainable, clean and efficient, affordable and profitable transport system\u201d.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \n&#8220;Our products will improve the transportation needs of Rwandans, as the electric vehicles are designed taking into account the terrain of Rwanda,&#8221; said Mr. Tiger Hoo, general manager of the factory quoted by Xinhua.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nRwanda adopted a \u201cgreen growth and climate resilience\u201d plan in 2011 which continues until 2050. It aims to respond to the growing challenges of climate change. This plan consists of several main points which are among others, the intensification of agriculture, agricultural diversification on local and export markets, integrated management of water resources and planning, use and integrated management of land, ecotourism, conservation and payment for ecosystem services and an efficient and resilient transport system.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nIn terms of transport, the authorities have launched a pilot project for electric motorcycles in 2020. It aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The same year, the country also committed to achieving a 38% reduction target for these gases by 2030.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nNote that TAILG is based in China, and in more than 75 countries around the world.
